Chad McAllister has been named president of Milliken & Co.’s Performance & Protective Textiles division.
McAllister succeeds Jeff Price, who was promoted to executive vice president of operations for the corporation.
McAllister joined Milliken’s chemical division in 2001 where he helped increase the company’s international business. He went on to hold finance and strategy positions in corporate development and the company’s airbag business, and in 2010, joined the Performance & Protective Textiles division as chief financial officer.
“Chad is a strong and proven business leader,” said Halsey Cook, president and chief executive officer of Milliken & Co. “His career accomplishments have uniquely prepared him to lead Milliken’s largest and most diversified division into the future.” The company recently acquired Polartec and that business is part of the Performance & Protective Textiles division.
Price is now overseeing a new comprehensive corporate function at Milliken that includes corporate logistics and sourcing; environmental, health and safety; corporate engineering; global security, and Milliken’s consulting arm, Performance Solutions by Milliken.
“Jeff’s deep multidisciplinary knowledge spans manufacturing and general management and makes him exceptionally suited to pioneer this strategic and important role at Milliken,” Cook said.
