Olah Inc., the New York-based textile and apparel development company, has been designated the exclusive U.S. and Canadian sales and marketing agency for DNM, the vertical denim mill in Damietta, Egypt.

The arrangement follows Olah’s partnership with China’s Prosperity Textiles disclosed in late June. It is effective Oct. 1.

DNM has a capacity of 25 million meters of denim fabric a year and uses water recycling and other technologies to minimize its environmental impact.

“DNM’s factory was completed in 2011 and is the largest denim supplier in the Middle East and North African region,” said Andrew Olah, chief executive officer of Olah Inc., adding that the firm also enjoys duty-free status for its products into the U.S.

DNM is a subsidiary of Turkey’s Eroglu Holding, which operates stores and manufactures apparel and textiles in a number of European, Asian and North African markets. Its other operations include Colin’s, which operates more than 600 stores in 37 countries, and Loft, a producer and retailer of jeans and related products.

In addition to marketing and consulting agreements with Prosperity, Japan’s Kurabo mills and other denim-related firms, Olah produces the Kingpins trade shows in New York, Los Angeles and, beginning in 2014, Amsterdam.
