Germany’s Südwolle Group, a major spinner of pure wool and wool blend worsted yarns for weaving, circular and flat knitting, has expanded its offering with the addition of a new technology for treating wool fibers.

The Naturetexx Plasma-wool treatment is an environmentally sustainable alternative to the current industry standard superwash, chlorine-hercosett process, said Südwolle. In addition to securing Global Organic Textile Standard and Oeko-Tex material certifications, Naturetexx has also now been awarded the bluesign certification for manufacturing standards.
