The Tie Bar will open a pop-up shop in its hometown of Chicago for the fall and holiday seasons.
The 3,200-square-foot store at 918 West Armitage in the Lincoln Park neighborhood is scheduled to open Oct. 17 and remain in business for two months.
“Opening a physical retail space in Chicago is a natural evolution for the brand,” said Michael Alter, chief executive officer. “Our pop-up gives shoppers the chance to touch and feel our products.”
The shop will sell the company’s neckwear, tie bars, pocket squares, socks and other accessories. The assortment will include the brand’s collaborations with Tie The Knot by Jesse Tyler Ferguson of “Modern Family,” and National Basketball Association star Dwyane Wade.
The shop will have an “urban, industrial feel” and the “exposed brick, throw rugs, floor lamps, local art and other decorative accessories will bring a lived-in feel to the modern space,” according to Allyson Wicha Lewis, vice president of merchandising.
