NEW YORK — After 17 years at Warner’s, Thomas D. Richardson has joined Vanity Fair Mills as vice president of sales of the Vanity Fair brand.

Richardson succeeds Joan Persic, who has been named vice president of marketing for the Vanity Fair and licensed Eileen West brands of foundations. Persic, a former vice president and divisional merchandise manager of intimate apparel at Neiman Marcus, joined Vanity Fair in 1991.

Richardson and Persic report to John W. Salisbury Jr., vice president and general manager of the Vanity Fair brand.

Richardson held a variety of sales posts at Warner’s, a division of the Warnaco Group. Since March 1993, he was vice president of sales for the Eastern division.

In other moves at Vanity Fair, Greta Shugrue has been named director of marketing for the Vanity Fair brand, a new post. She was senior marketing manager at Cosmair for two years. She reports to Persic.

Lisa Hagler has joined Vanity Fair as product manager responsible for branded daywear and panties. She was a buyer of branded and private label bodyshapers, daywear and panties at Frederick Atkins for 2 1/2 years.
