PARIS — French contemporary brand APC is among investors in a Series A round of financing behind American activewear brand Outdoor Voices.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but APC said it would collaborate with Outdoor Voices on a collection that is to hit stores in 2016.
Based between New York and Austin, Tex., Outdoor Voices is known for its color-blocked leggings, crop tops and tonal collections.
“It’s a good time to mix real sportswear with real fashion, so the opportunity to invest was too good to miss,” said APC founder Jean Touitou.
The brand, founded in 2013, just raised $7 million, with investors led by General Catalyst and with participation from Forerunner Ventures, Collaborative Fund and 14W, as reported.
