ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE: Midtown workers marching off to lunch on Thursday had reason to do a doubletake. Shortly after noon, Hillary Clinton swanned into the lobby of 750 Third Avenue, warmly greeting what appeared to be a mini welcoming committee. Layered up in a navy blue pantsuit and pashmina with a glittery brooch, the former Secretary of State had plenty of reinforcement. Secret Service agents stood guard throughout the building’s lobby and outdoors on the street, as well as in parked cars. The extra security was needed, since Bill Clinton buzzed into the building to join his wife at Marcum LLP. As is the case with scores of American couples at this time of year, mid-December calls for a date with the accountant. The former first couple must have had a good deal to consider given their hours-long stay. Bill Clinton spent three-plus hours with the number-crunchers and his is-she-or-isn’t-she-running-for-president wife left Marcum after four hours.
Marcum’s Rorrie Gregorio, one of the Clintons’ estate planners, did not respond to a request for comment Thursday at press time, nor did a spokeswoman for the Clintons.
