NORDSTROM APPOINTS DRESSER TO NEW VP POST
SEATTLE — Nordstrom Inc. has named Annette Dresser vice president of women’s apparel. The position is new.
Dresser will be responsible for the recently formed women’s apparel division, which includes the Gallery, Studio 121 and Individualist bridge departments; Savvy, for more forward lines; Point of View and Town Square, for moderate sportswear and ready-to-wear; Encore, for plus sizes, and the Petite Focus department. The division recently combined bridge with the other categories.
“My focus will include an increased emphasis on market differentiation, inventory efficiencies and vendor relationships,” Dresser said.
She will have four women’s divisional merchandise managers reporting to her.
Dresser was vice president and divisional merchandise manager of bridge apparel, Northwest region. She joined Nordstrom in 1982 as a salesperson and rose to buyer, store manager and corporate merchandise manager.
