PORCELLI TAKES LEAVE OF HALSTON
NEW YORK — Carmine Porcelli, managing director and executive vice president of Halston International, left the company Friday.
Porcelli, who came on board in May 1996, had announced he was resigning in April, when Catterton Partners, a Greenwich, Conn., investment firm, took control of the brand.
It had been owned by Tropic Tex International.
Porcelli said he has no firm plans, but is studying opportunities with a cosmetics firm and an upscale retailer. Another option would be to start his own marketing company, he said.
Catterton is expected soon to name a chief executive officer of Halston International who would take over some of Porcelli’s duties.
