STYLECLICK ADDS TWO EXECUTIVES

LOS ANGELES — Styleclick, an e-commerce service provider based here, announced Thursday that it has added two executive positions aimed at strengthening sales and operations.
Robert Hayes, formerly with apparel and footwear retailer Bob’s Stores, will serve as the company’s vice president and general manager, reporting to newly hired president Edward Zinser. Hayes will manage the highest traffic and volume clients, including About.com and the company’s auction Web site FirstAuction.com, said chief executive officer Maurizio Vecchione. He will be based here.
Vecchione also has hired Michael Fagen as vice president of sales. Fagen, who will work out of the company’s New York office, will pursue brick-and-mortar brands interested in developing e-commerce, Internet media and content providers, and sports properties, said Vecchione. Fagen will report to Bruce Goldstein, Styleclick’s executive vice president of business development.
Styleclick, which merged with USA Networks in July, has been aggressively pushing a platform of e-commerce services that includes fulfillment and customer service through USA Networks’ sister companies Precision Response Corp. and Home Shopping Network.
Vecchione said that the company will add business-to-business auction capabilities to its service offering in the new year.
“We haven’t announced any deals yet,” he said, adding: “People can expect us to get into that business fairly heavily.”
