Bally Total Fitness is getting into the wearable tech game.
FAM Brands, which owns the trademarks for Bally Total Fitness for specific apparel and related categories, has an agreement with Sakar International to roll out a collection of Bally Total Fitness wearable-technology, fitness-monitoring and electronic-accessory products. The line will be introduced next month at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The products are geared for delivery in the second quarter of 2015. Some of the line’s highlights include a Bangle Dot Matrix Bluetooth Activity Tracker, heart-rate monitors and an Activity Tracking Watch. Retail prices will range from $19.99 to $79.99.
For the past 10 years, FAM Brands, based in Commerce, Calif., has manufactured and marketed Bally Total Fitness women’s activewear, including tops, sports bras, bottoms and hoodies. Bally Total Fitness has recently signed deals for socks, swimwear and intimates with Cameo, EMD and American Glory, respectively, all shipping to stores in early 2015.
Sakar, based in Edison, N.J., is a consumer electronics and accessories provider.
