BCBG Max Azria Group has acquired 10 stores in Germany from the now-defunct Belgian luxury chain Donaldson and plans to convert them to BCBG locations, the company said Wednesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The new stores, in cities such as Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg and Munich, would be the first BCBG doors in Germany. BCBG is based in Vernon, Calif., and operates more than 550 branded and partner shops worldwide, including 337 in the U.S.
The company is continuing to expand its footprint in Europe. In 2005, BCBG added the French retail chain Alain Manoukian and Spanish chain Don Algodón to its portfolio.
BCBG recently underwent a restructure on a $160 million term loan to remain current on its payments.
Donaldson operated 30 stores in Europe and had as many as 700 points of sale.
