Richard and Mary Bhullar, Worldnet International New York directors, have completed the management buyout of the Worldnet International London, Paris and Los Angeles operations following the retirement of John Earthey, Worldnet International director. The price of the buyout of Earthey’s ownership wasn’t disclosed.
Worldnet, established in 1997, is a premium logistics company that employs more than 180 people. It offers customizable shipping services for packages, offering Next Flight Out, Same-Day, Next-Day and Standard shipping services domestically and internationally to accommodate the needs of each client.
Earthey, one of the original founders, managed the European operations and retired this month. Earthey owned the London operation outright, and the Bhullars and Earthey were shareholders in Paris and Los Angeles.
The Bhullars, a brother and sister team, are originally from London. They have successfully grown the U.S. operation of Worldnet with offices in New York and work with prestige clients in the fashion and media industries. For example, they shipped the fragile wings to Paris for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, so they would arrive on time and be ready for the event. They are looking forward to expanding the reach and impact of the brand to the U.K. and Europe.
“It is very much business as usual for our clients and employees,” said Richard Bhullar. “We will continue to deliver exceptional levels of service to our existing customers and expand into new industries. We are focusing on enhancing the customer communication and service.”
The Royal Bank of Scotland guided the Bhullars through the funding process alongside their advisors.
