MILAN — Bros Manifatture, the Italian jewelry group that controls the Rosato, Brosway and S’Agapo brands, has acquired Pianegonda.
Pianegonda was founded in 1994 in Vicenza and became known in the second half of the Nineties for its minimalist collections that combined gold and silver with gems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Bros Manifatture, a new creative director for the Pianegonda label will be appointed in the next few weeks and the first collection marking the brand’s new course will be unveiled in fall 2016.
“Pianegonda represents an Italian excellence, a brand with a great personality which we always loved and which is still very recognizable,” said Bros Manifatture president Lanfranco Beleggia. “We can now bring it back to its past splendor. In order to reach this goal, we will work at its development with a lot of respect but also with strength: we will keep working with the same laboratories that made its collections since the beginning and we will carefully select wholesalers, focusing especially on those keen to be our partners in this project.”
With this acquisition, Bros Manifatture enlarges its portfolio of jewelry labels, adding a luxury brand to its offering.
