DUBAI — Brunello Cucinelli has planted its first monobrand boutique in the Middle East this week in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates.
Opened in partnership with the Al Tayer Group, the 1,800-square-foot unit sits in a newly renovated zone dedicated to luxury fashion on the first floor of the mall.
Reflecting Cucinelli’s new decor concept, the Dubai location features earthy materials and Italian props, emulating the essence of the company’s headquarters in Solomeo, a medieval hamlet restored over the last 30 years.
“We believe firmly in Dubai as a point of reference for sophisticated customers who are lovers of the highest quality and craftsmanship,” said Cucinelli, president and chief executive officer of the Italian firm.
The men’s and women’s spring collections will debut in the new space.
Cucinelli lauded Dubai’s “interweaving of modernity and cultural traditions, beaches and uncontaminated nature in contrast with the futuristic city center,” adding: “I like this idea of fusion between cultures a lot. I believe that basic human values are the same at any latitude. We’d like to try to convey something of our philosophy through our products, but also be receptive to the numerous stimuli that a city like Dubai will give us.”
