GIRL POWER: Launched back in December — with three collections already under its belt — Jane Siskin’s advanced contemporary collection, Cinq à Sept, is finally available to shop. The debut pre-fall collection will roll out to over 200 retail doors in the U.S., but Saks Fifth Avenue snagged a monthlong exclusive of the label online and in stores for the month of June. To celebrate the launch, Siskin teamed with the gals behind Art Production Fund — Yvonne Force Villareal, Doreen Remen and Casey Fremont — to host a cocktail party at the retailer’s Midtown flagship on Thursday night. Ten percent of proceeds from Cinq à Sept’s sales this weekend will be donated to the fund, which produces and commissions public art projects.
“We’d been having conversations about ways that we might be able to work together and we realized it makes perfect sense; it was great synergy,” said Fremont of teaming up with Siskin on the event. “It was about mutual respect and admiration for each other. We thought, how perfect it would be to help celebrate [the brand’s] launch…and contribute to the playlist? I focused on Beyoncé and The Weeknd. I think we have a little bit of Justin Bieber mixed in. I pulled from my SoulCycle favorites.”
Guests noshed on french fries and sipped rosé around an elaborate garden installation by Putnam & Putnam florists. “Jane [Siskin] has her pulse on all the trends and she really knows her girl and what she’s looking for,” said Roopal Patel, Saks Fifth Avenue’s fashion director. “There’s a sense of romanticism and whimsy to the way she sees fashion…Cinq à Sept has this seasonless quality to it, which I think is very modern. There’s a free, romantic spirit to the collection.”
