Retail management consulting firm Claris Solutions Group named Dan Natale to the position of business development and consulting partner.
Natale will manage the New York-based company’s “strategic consulting services,” which are “designed to improve operational performance for leading retailers throughout the U.S. and international markets,” the company said.
Previously, Natale served as vice president of sales for Europe and the Americas at ShopperTrak, which is a provider of shopper behavior insights as well as location-specific analytics. In that role, Natale was responsible for ShopperTrak’s business development efforts. Prior to ShopperTrak, Natale served as vice president of store operations at Napa Auto Parts where he oversaw the operations of more than 100 stores across the mid-Atlantic region.
Wade Mosteller, senior partner for Claris Solutions Group, said Natale’s “understanding of advanced shopper analytics, retail store operations and business process improvement is unsurpassed within our industry.”
“[Natale] brings strategic insights and practical expertise that will help our clients realize the kinds of operational efficiencies that ultimately drive sales and long-term growth,” Mosteller said.
Claris Solutions was founded in 1998 and notes that it specializes in “all aspects of retail performance improvement and growth.” The company’s services are aimed at retail executives in design and merchandising as well as distribution, operations, finance and information technology.
The company offers software solutions to manage a workforce, warehouses and point of sale processes. The company has worked with retailers to “help reduce cost through designing processes to achieve the best performance at the most efficient cost,” the company noted. “We have worked to help turn around organizations to bring cost in line with current and future operations.”
Back-room, allocation and distribution and store merchandise flow are also other project areas. Claris Solutions has also worked with companies on “supply chain strategy and implementation” as well as to develop “custom applications for managing labor in stores and distribution,” while providing “project management for large packaged software integration” and other tasks.
