Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, the international beauty fair organized by BolognaFiere Group, is launching its first On Hair Milan Edition, an event gathering the most prominent international hair stylists.
The format will be presented at the same time as Esthetiworld by Cosmoprof’s sixth edition at MiCo-Fiera Milano Congressi, a 20-minute drive from Milan’s center, running Oct. 22-24.
Hair stylists and visitors can discover the latest fashion trends and cutting-edge hair styles presented by professionals through performances and live shows, held in a theater with a capacity of 4,000 people.
The event will feature GHD’s art director Igor Rago; L’Oréal Professionnel’s Franco Curletto and Carlo Bay; Alfaparf Milano’s Mimmo Laserra and Mod Salons; Rock and Roll Hair’s Mauro Galzignato, among others.
The event will be the occasion to assign the “Hair Products Award” for the first time, dedicated both to professional products selected by hairdressers, and products for resale in top rated salons, voted by consumers. The winning products will be revealed during a ceremony on Oct. 23 and be honored with the “Best Professional Product of the Year” name.
Esthetiworld by Cosmoprof will focus on cosmetology, dermatology, wellness and nails.
The three-day event will feature the 37th Italian Congress of Applied Cosmetology, focusing on basic topics like body treatments, technology and management, and in-depth analysis on most requested services and normative updates. It will also offer workshops about wellness, or showcase the latest trends in beauty treatments and nail art, for example. Also new, the first “The School of Excellence” National Congress will address beauty students, focusing on education, training and best post-graduate school programs. For the second time, the “Estheti-Award” will be assigned to companies that invest in innovation, scientific research and in new sustainable products.
Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will be celebrating its 50th edition in Bologna next spring, running March 16-20.
For the event, a brand-new area called Cosmoprime will debut at the same time of sibling fair Cosmopack, dedicated to the beauty supply chain.
Cosmoprime will feature the “Extraordinary Gallery,” showcasing beauty trends and the most innovative brands, and an “International Buyers’ Lounge,” a B2B space welcoming top buyers selected as part of the “International Buyer Program.” This is a consolidated tool that arranges meetings between Cosmoprof’s and Cosmopack’s exhibitors and professional distributors and key brands.
“Cosmoprime Forum” will offer analysis regarding retail distribution and market trends to professionals, while “The Perfume Factory” will showcase the productive process of a fragrance. This area will also be the stage for the 2017 Accademia del Profumo Awards’ celebrations, while a limited-edition scent will be realized for the fair’s 50th anniversary.
In 2016, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna registered over 200,000 visitors and 2,510 exhibitors, 73 percent of which are from outside Italy.
In addition to Bologna, Cosmoprof is also present in Las Vegas with Cosmoprof North America and Hong Kong with Cosmoprof Asia, involving a total of 6,400 exhibitors and more than 350,000 visitors, coming from over 150 countries.
