LONDON — Coty Inc. has announced a series of appointments for the U.K. and Ireland for its different beauty divisions.
Daniel Minney will become general manager for the consumer beauty division. He is currently managing director for Wella UK and Ireland and has 25 years of experience working with Wella’s current owner Procter & Gamble.
As reported, Coty is set to acquire 41 beauty brands from Procter & Gamble, with the deal expected to close in October. Coty said it expects to have $780 million in synergies as a result of the acquisition, which will be realized over a four-year period.
Alexis Vaganay has been named general manager of luxury, and will join Coty from BIC and previously Unilever, where he held various GM and marketing roles across personal care and consumer products in North America and Europe.
Andrew Kelsall has been named GM professional beauty. He has 20 years of sales and management expertise and is currently MD for Wella in Brazil.
The company said in a statement Monday that all three managers “will play a substantial role in Coty’s future growth. The divisions will, where it makes sense, share some services and office accommodations, but otherwise each division will operate separately.”
The commercial headquarters for the U.K. and Ireland will be in Wimbledon, London, the statement added.
