A brunette Scarlett Johansson breezed into Milan Fashion Week for a triple play with Dolce & Gabbana. The face of the duo’s new beauty line, Johansson drew a crowd of about 1,000 at department store La Rinascente for an appearance with the designers. She compared posing for the advertising images—where she channels a modern-day Marilyn Monroe—with playing a role. “And who doesn’t want to look like the femme fatales from the Forties and Fifties?” she cooed.
A day later, Johansson was in the front row at Dolce & Gabbana’s fashion show, and in the evening she played host with the designers for the inauguration of the Extreme Beauty in Vogue exhibition. Upon arrival, Johansson looped arms with Stefano and Domenico, and the threesome admired images on display by 89 photographers, including Irving Penn and Helmut Newton. “It’s a lot of fun to be the lipstick on the cake, so to speak,” she said.
