Fragrance brand Diptyque is launching a pop-up shop and exclusive collection in The Invisible Dog, an interdisciplinary community art center in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, N.Y.
The collection, called Les Voyages, features travel-size skin care, fragrance and candles that will be displayed on Horseman Antique furniture starting April 1, when the pop-up opens. The lineup includes: Eau de toilette in Do Son, Florabellio, L’Ombre dans L’eau, Philosykos and Tam Dau; Fresh Lotion for the Body; Revitalizing Shower Gel for Body and Hair; Smoothing Body Polish; Satin Oil for the Body and Hair; Infused Facial Water; Nourishing Cleansing Balm; Protective Moisturizing Lotion; Vinaigre de Toilette; and mini candles in Baies, Figuier, Mimosa, Roses and Tubereuse. Products will retail for $20 to $65 and will be sold in other Diptyque locations in May and June. Les Voyages is Diptyque’s first travel-sized collection.
At The Invisible Dog, the Les Voyages collection will be accompanied by seasonal launches and other offerings from Diptyque, including its core collection and stickers inspired by the travels of founders Christiane Gautrot, Desmond Knox-Leet and Yves Coueslant. “It’ll definitely be a place where there’s a unique customer experience,” said Donna DiDonato, general manager for the Americas for Diptyque. “Something you’ll see in the future is us collaborating with the artists that reside at The Invisible Dog,” she said. “We always collaborate with artists — perfumers, sculptors, glassmakers — having a group of talented people under that roof I think will be a great creative incubator.”
The pop-up is the brand’s first foray into Brooklyn retailing. “We’re constantly evolving our retail concept, and the neighborhood really has an eclectic style that lends itself to the brand…The Invisible Dog has this strong creative freedom of expression,” DiDonato said.
“Diptyque and The Invisible Dog share the same passion for artistic risk, creativity and craftsmanship,” said Lucien Zayan, director of The Invisible Dog. “This is a natural partnership that opens the door to dynamic collaboration.” The diptyque pop-up will be open through December.
