PARIS — What is the olfactive essence of Olympia Le-Tan? The fashion designer has teamed with candle and fragrance maker Diptyque on a limited-edition collection embodying just that.
Due out in January, the capsule line including a candle, solid perfume and fragranced disk gives numerous winks to Le-Tan’s sartorial creations. The oval label reading “Rosaviola” looks to be embroidered, like many of her handbag designs; the color pink, ubiquitous in Le-Tan’s fashion, lends a flush to the products, and the creator’s red-lip leitmotif graces the candleholders.
Each item is infused with a rose-violet scent.
The 70- and 190-g. sized Rosaviola candles will retail in France for 30 euros and 55 euros, or $32.90 and $60.40 at current exchange, respectively. The fragranced disk is 40 euros, or $43.90, while the solid scent goes for 39 euros, or $42.80.
Le-Tan is no stranger to collaborations. She has already worked on projects with the likes of The Webster and Lancôme.
