SHADES OF GRAY: The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Prince Harry joined Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip for the annual Commonwealth service, a yearly interfaith ceremony that was held at Westminster Abbey on Monday.
In a pre-recorded message, the Queen talked about the meaning of the Commonwealth Charter. “Its opening words, ‘We the people of the Commonwealth’ convey the conviction that individuals, as well as governments, build and shape our success. Let us give it practical effect by supporting those in need and those who feel excluded in all walks of life. By doing so, we will continue to build a truly representative Commonwealth community.”
Last week the duchess added a pop of color to her wardrobe with an orange skirt suit by Eponine, but on Monday she had a monochromatic moment in the form of a graphic, gray Erdem coat. She accessorized the coat, which had checks and lace detail, with a John Boyd hat with an oversize slanted brim, and Rupert Sanderson heels.
On Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge pursued their mental health awareness initiative with a visit to London Wall. The royal couple visited the XLP project mentoring program, which helps children and teens who are suffering from emotional challenges.
