E-Pitti, the portal of Florence-based trade producer Pitti Immagine launched with FieraDigitale in 2011, teamed with Google to organize a workshop held in Florence June 13 a day before international men’s wear trade show Pitti Uomo kicks off.
Named Modae Connection, the workshop is dedicated to small and medium-size companies that will have the chance to get in touch with experts showing how to improve the presence of brands in the digital environment in order to boost sales.
“Our mission is to create a digital culture by offering services especially targeting small companies which still have to discover the online potential,” said Francesco Bottigliero, chief executive officer of Fiera Digitale, which closed 2015 with revenues of 1.6 million euros, or $1.78 million at average exchange.
In this context of support to small and medium-sized companies, e-Pitti is officially launching in June “Ready-to-Order,” the App to collect orders which was tested with 10 Pitti Uomo exhibitors last January.
According to data provided by Fiera Digitale, since January, e-Pitti saw a 35 percent increase in the number of buyers visiting the portal, compared to the same period last year, with 29 percent of them navigating via mobile.
