GET SHIRTY: Filling out a blockbuster party schedule in Paris this week was French brand Equipment’s bash at Russian cabaret Raspoutine on Monday night, in honor of its spring ad campaign, starring Jamie Hince and Allison Mosshart of The Kills. Serge Azria, who relaunched Equipment three years ago with a two-pocket silk shirt, said the collaboration came about organically.
“Allison Mosshart is crazy about Equipment shirts, and wears them all the time, but Jamie loves the shirts too and keeps stealing them and wearing them himself. Then when he gets home, his wife Kate Moss steals the shirts off him. So they keep calling us every month asking us to send more shirts and more shirts,” he said with a laugh.
Azria took over the brand from founder Christian Roitfeld, whose wife — CR Fashion Book editor in chief Carine Roitfeld — dropped by to say hello.
Jessica Alba and Bianca Brandolini also joined the model-heavy crowd, including Jessica Stam, Lily McMenamy, Alice Dellal and Hanne Gaby Odiele, letting their hair down on the dancefloor as the four-week international Fashion Week marathon lumbered towards its close.
Geordon Nicol and Leigh Lezark of the Misshapes got the party started, culminating their set with will.i.am’s chart-pleasing “Scream & Shout.” The mood shifted when Hince and Mosshart took over, switching to tracks by obscure rock band ESG and reggae legend Lee Perry.
