FASHION FILMS: The second edition of the Fashion Film Festival Milano is set to run Sept. 20 to 22 at the city’s Anteo Spazio Cinema.
The event was founded and directed by Constanza Cavalli Etro, an Argentinian communications and fashion professional as well as wife of Etro’s men’s wear creative director Kean Etro. The international festival, which promotes the development of fashion movies, received more than 600 submissions from 45 countries, which were reviewed under the direction of curator Gloria Maria Cappelletti.
This year’s edition will include new initiatives, including a collaboration with global media brand Nowness and Paramount International, which will broadcast the festival worldwide on the Paramount channel. Furthermore, the festival will allow online users to vote their favorite fashion films on the festival’s Web site.
Apart from the established nine categories, the international jury, which includes Vogue Italia editor in chief Franca Sozzani, as well as fashion photographer Rankin, will judge two new categories, called “New Talent” and “Established Talent.”
