SIR SORRY: As Queen Elizabeth II announced a new batch of knighthoods in the New Year’s Honours List this week, she may have noticed that last year’s weren’t done and dusted just yet. Although Mick Jagger was granted a knighthood six months ago, he still hasn’t found the time to collect it and is unlikely to visit Buckingham Palace before October. His absence is blamed on The Rolling Stones’ latest world tour, not to mention those all-important tax considerations. The tax rules mean Jagger literally is like a rolling stone — he can spend only 90 nights in the U.K. each year if he wants to maintain his status as an overseas earner. But the singer still managed to squeeze in a spot of Christmas shopping on Bond Street a few weeks ago — although he didn’t manage to send Happy New Year’s wishes to Her Majesty.
