GIMME THREE Vs: Gianni Versace SpA has said that Paris-based designer Anthony Vaccarello will be the next guest designer at the Versus brand. This confirms a WWD report on Sept. 20.
Vaccarello will design a capsule collection of ready-to-wear and accessories, which will
be launched next year with a special event.
“The clothes designed by Anthony have everything I love: They are sexy, dynamic, audacious,” said Versace creative director Donatella Versace. “He is a natural talent, has both the technical skills and the confidence necessary to push fashion in the direction he wants for today’s women. I can’t wait to work with him and to see Versus Versace through his eyes.”
“I’m happy to collaborate with Donatella for the new Versus Versace collection,” Vaccarello said. “Versace is a fashion house which [has] always used extraordinary techniques to realize its audacious, contemporary fashion. I feel we share a similar spirit; For me, it’s a dream collaboration.”
Previously, both British designer Jonathan William Anderson, aka J.W. Anderson, and English-Sri Lankan recording artist M.I.A. created capsule collections for Versus.
