RE-UPPING: Giorgio Armani is renewing its support to Paris-based international photo exhibition Paris Photo, running Nov. 15 to 18 at the Grand Palais. The Italian fashion company will support the “Recent Acquisitions” exhibition and will present, for the second time, a collection of pictures celebrating water.
The “ACQUA #2” exhibition will collect images from nine photographers, including Marco Breuer, Anthony Friedkin, Dodo Jin Ming, Syoin Kajii, Joel Meyerowitz, Schinichi Murayama, Toshio Shibata, Arron Siskinf and Alce Soth.
Water occupies an important, special place in Armani’s world. In 2009, the designer launched the “Acqua for Life” humanitarian project in collaboration with Green Cross International, aiming to provide poor communities around the globe with drinking water. Last year, the charity delivered 55 million liters (about 14 million gallons) to villages in Ghana and Bolivia.
