Nails are the hot new service for on-demand beauty companies. Vênsette recently announced its entry into the category and now Glamsquad is offering the service starting today.
“From day one when Glamsquad launched in January 2014, clients gave feedback to our beauty professionals [wanting nail services],” said Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, cofounder and chief executive officer of Glamsquad. “The mission at Glamsquad is to make the process of getting ready a whole lot easier and nails was a logical next step.”
Glamsquad, which currently operates in New York City, Los Angeles and Miami, will only offer nails in Manhattan at launch and will subsequently add to its other markets.
To that end, manicures will cost $35; pedicures are priced at $50 and for both it’s $75.
Meanwhile, the company has partnered exclusively with Essie and although it won’t offer gel in the beginning, Glamsquad is planning to do it in the future.
“After every Glamsquad service, we send out a customer feedback survey and we listen very carefully,” said Wilkis Wilson. “Clients also want spray tanning and skin-care services, like facials and waxing, so we’re always thinking about additional potential services to add. But we’re so focused on quality, we don’t want to rush into adding additional services.”
