RUNWAY RETURN: Hennes & Mauritz AB is upping its fashion quotient. The Swedish high-street retailer said Wednesday it would be staging its first fashion show in eight years on Feb. 27 on the sidelines of Paris Fashion Week. H&M will unveil some 25 looks from its fall women’s collection, under the creative direction of head of design Ann-Sofie Johansson, at the Musée Rodin, which has previously hosted catwalk shows for Yves Saint Laurent and Dior. “We felt excited about the collection and we really wanted to show it,” said spokesman Håcan Andersson.

Excluding its high-profile designer collaborations, the retailer last held a catwalk show, featuring women’s and men’s designs, in New York in 2005. In November 2010, it enlisted the likes of Pixie Geldof and Dree Hemingway to model the one-off Lanvin for H&M collection at a special event in New York. British fast-fashion chain Topshop regularly shows its Unique collection on the runway during London Fashion Fashion Week.
