HUBLOT’S NEWEST RETAIL BABY: Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot, which already has eight boutiques in the U.S., has opened the first of five to eight more shops that’s part of an aggressive expansion of the U.S. market planned over the next three years. The latest retail shop is in Atlanta at Phipps Plaza, a high-end shopping destination in the Buckhead district.
The Atlanta boutique is about 1,000 square feet. Key to the visual marketing of the brand are animation towers featuring holographic images of the watch on display, as well as a media wall at the entrance so customers can view Hublot TV for the latest brand events and product news.
Jean-Claude Biver, chief executive officer, said, “As Atlanta is itself a wonderful mix of people, cultures, the old and new, it’s the perfect fit for Hublot and our vision of fusion.”
