John Varvatos will be honored by the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation with the Fashion Cares award at its 18th annual gala on Nov. 12.
During the event, Varvatos will auction off an afternoon of shopping in his SoHo store, where he will personally work with the customer to select a wardrobe worth $10,000.
Previous honorees of the Fashion Cares award include Carmen Marc Valvo, Tadashi and Cushnie et Ochs. This will mark the first time that a men’s wear designer is being presented with the award.
The event will take place at Cipriani Wall Street and approximately 900 people are expected to attend. Last year, the gala raised $2 million for the cause.
