The French Institute Alliance Française’s Creative Leaders series of talks with fashion and design experts moderated by Melissa Ceria kicks off May 4 with Laure Hériard Dubreuil, the ceo and cofounder of The Webster. Dubreuil will discuss supporting designers at retail, being a female entrepreneur in fashion and her growing retail presence — The Webster now has three stores: the original in Miami, Bal Harbour and the recently opened Houston, with an additional location speculated to be coming to New York. The three-part Creative Leaders series will also feature talks with jeweler Aurélie Bidermann on May 11 and architect Thierry Despont on May 16. Dubreuil’s talk will be held at FIAF’s Le Skyroom at 22 East 60th St. in New York City; Bidermann and Despont’s conversations will be held at Florence Gould Hall, 55 East 59th St. in New York City.
