LONDON — Longtime luxury accessories executive Lisa Montague is moving into fresh territory, becoming chief executive officer of Walker Greenbank plc, the high-end British interior furnishings group.
Walker Greenbank, which is quoted on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, said Montague will join the company as an executive director on March 11, and take up the ceo role on April 10.
“Lisa brings a huge amount of experience from luxury and aspirational brand-based businesses and has particular strengths in brand development, commercial strategy and international growth,” said Christopher Rogers, interim executive chairman of Walker Greenbank.
Walker Greenbank’s brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co., Harlequin, Zoffany, Scion, Clarke & Clarke and Studio G. It has a strong U.K. manufacturing base, with wallpaper and fabric-printing factories in England that produce for the in-house brands and also for third-parties.

The products are sold in more than 85 countries, and the company has showrooms in London, New York, Chicago, Paris, Amsterdam, Moscow and Dubai and a partnership showroom in Shenzhen, China.
Last fall Morris & Co., which was founded by William Morris, collaborated with Hennes & Mauritz on a clothing collection that showcased the Arts & Crafts designer’s swirling floral motifs.
Montague said she’s looking forward to bringing her experience in creative industries “to further develop the great British design and craft that the team at Walker Greenbank excel in. I love the opportunities within the portfolio of famous brands, including the iconic Morris & Co. that designers so admire. Sanderson, one of the oldest names in interiors, and the modern brands including Harlequin and Clarke & Clarke together offer customers everything they could wish for.”
A seasoned executive, Montague began her career in sales and marketing in fashion and textiles, rising to become chief operating officer of Mulberry Group from 2003 to 2009.
She left Mulberry to become ceo of Loewe, where she worked for seven years, along with creative directors Stuart Vevers and Jonathan Anderson. Most recently Montague was ceo of Aspinal of London, the leather accessories brand.
