LONDON — The British Fashion Council is giving some structure to the ever-expanding pre-collections calendar. From June 15-17, it plans to support and promote London designers who show pre-collections. Presentations and shows are to take place immediately after the London Collections: Men shows.
Labels including Roksanda, Peter Pilotto, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Amanda Wakeley, Bora Aksu, Osman and Isa Arfen are to host showrooms in London over those three days, while Alexander Lewis and Issa plan to stage salon shows at The Connaught Hotel on June 17.
In collaboration with The Hoxton hotel in Holborn, the BFC is slated to host The Hoxton Collective, with labels including Alexander Lewis, Huishan Zhang, Marques’Almeida, Phoebe English and Zoe Jordan hosting showrooms there.
The BFC said it aims for the concentrated pre-collection period to “make it easier for buyers to do business in the capital.”
