TRAVEL CASE: Louis Vuitton Americas has hired Kristine Westerby to become its senior vice president of communications, effective Jan. 3.
Westerby joins Vuitton from Max Mara USA, where she has been its senior vice president of marketing and communications since 2014.
No stranger to LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, parent of Vuitton, Westerby has also worked in communications roles for LVMH properties Fendi North America and Dior, in addition to the fashion houses Gucci and Calvin Klein.
Max Mara had no comment on its succession plan.
Westerby fills a position vacated last June by Nancy Murray, who exited Vuitton to become executive vice president of communications for Los Angeles-based real estate developer Caruso, whose properties include The Grove.
