PARIS — LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has named Sophie Chassat a member of its board of directors, according to a statement released Thursday. Her appointment is to be confirmed at the luxury group’s next ordinary shareholders’ meeting in April.
Chassat, 40, is a specialist in corporate philosophy and branding who runs her own consulting company, Intikka. She is an alumna of the École Normale Supérieure and holds France’s prestigious agrégation post-graduate qualification in philosophy.

Her academic background, skills and experience “will enrich the composition of the board of directors, to which she will bring, in particular, her philosophical insight into societal changes,” LVMH said.
On the group’s board, Chassat will sit alongside other members including Antoine and Delphine Arnault, Nicolas Bazire and Lord Powell of Bayswater.
Bernard Arnault is chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH’s board, and Antonio Belloni serves as group managing director.
