MAKING A REPUTATION: LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and L’Oréal were ranked No. 3 and 5 respectively in the 2016 edition of consultancy Burson-Marsteller’s assessment of reputation among CAC 40 companies, the 40 largest equities listed in France. They rose by two positions each, from No. 5 and No. 7 respectively in 2015 in the annual survey done in collaboration with the Reputation Institute. Other companies high on the list include Kering at No. 7, Carrefour at 8, Unibail-Rodamco at 18 and Publicis at 28. Tire-maker Michelin ranked first; Legrand, specializing in electrical installations, came in second.
The ranking is based on seven criteria, namely products and services, innovation, employment, governance, corporate citizenship, leadership and performance. In total, 2,750 French citizens representative of the French population completed this survey in the first quarter of 2016.
