LONDON — Maia Guarnaccia, the Italian executive, has taken the reins at Peter Pilotto, the London-based brand designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos.
Guarnaccia quietly took up the role of chief executive officer, a new position, in January, and has been working with the designers on broadening the reach of the brand and building the business. He was brought in by Megha Mittal, who took a stake in Peter Pilotto in 2015.
The new ceo’s background is diverse and he is well-versed in British brands: He began his career as marketing and licensing director of Vivienne Westwood in the late Nineties, and most recently served as deputy ceo of the British brand.
In between, Guarnaccia — who is also a published novelist — held global communications and marketing roles at Yoox.com, Yoox Net-a-porter Group and Tod’s. He also served as vice president business development at IMG, based in Paris.
