BERLIN — Manhattan meets Munich in the German makeup brand’s upcoming Oktoberfest collection.
The Coty-owned cosmetics line is on tap to celebrate the beloved Bavarian beer fest with a limited edition of 10 products and a tie-in drink accessory. In a twist, a special Manhattan Cosmetics pretzel logo will grace new offerings, which include a set of blotting papers in red-and-white-checked packaging, for 2.99 euros, or $4.30 at current exchange rates; four shades of baked rouge at 5.99 euros, or $8.62; four shades of lipstick for 4.99 euros, or $7.18, and a mini-mascara for 3.99 euros, or $5.74. Products will also sport pretzel encircled caps.
High-end Dirndl designer Lola Paltinger, whose kicky-kitschy creations have been worn in Germany by Paris Hilton and Salma Hayek, lent her style to a mini Sigg water bottle adorned with traditional Bavarian touches of gingham, lace, roses and a noble stag. This is the second collaboration between Manhattan and Sigg; the bottle will be sold on Sigg’s Web site for 17.90 euros, or $25.75.
Manhattan’s Oktoberfest collection will hit counters in Germany at the start of September, and in Switzerland at the start of October, and will be available for 8 weeks. This year’s Oktoberfest in Munich will run from Sept. 17 to Oct. 3.
