CAN I GET A WITNESS?: After 28 years as a couple, Mark Badgley and James Mischka made their union official by tying the knot Friday at New York City Hall. While the designers have made their mark with red-carpet gowns for VIPs like Sharon Stone, Oprah Winfrey, Teri Hatcher and Melissa Etheridge, they were considerably more understated about celebrating their own big day. Badgley’s twin sister, O’Hara, was the sole witness when they sealed the deal at the city clerk’s office.
Her brother met Mischka at Parsons School of Design, and the design duo launched their Badgley Mischka label in 1988 and added bridal in 1993. Their plan for Friday night was to host a private dinner with 22 of their nearest and dearest friends at the SoHo bistro Raoul’s. There was no word on the dress code at press time, but the wedding cake was sure to be decked out, thanks to Sylvia Weinstock.
