Paris continues to be the leading fashion capital when it comes to men’s wear — here, we roundup the standout accessories presentations held during Men’s Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019.

Christian Louboutin has entered the performance sneaker market with a capsule line called Run Loubi Run: technical foam soles, neoprene sock-style uppers and spikes galore. Elsewhere, a beautiful evening slipper came embroidered with a lion’s claw, while a hightop was done in gold foiling beneath a layer of PVC — an evolution of last season’s Loubi Trash concept. Debuting a line of strass-buckled belts for spring, Louboutin also has designs on your waist.
Pierre Hardy

For a men’s luxury footwear label, Hardy has long been ahead of the curve when it comes to sneakers — the Comet and College styles are long ensconced in his repertoire. New additions for spring are the Vibe and the Trail. The former’s graphic sole evokes the levels on a sound curve, while the latter, a sneaker/hiker fusion, comes with a Pierre Hardy logo spoiler to the rear.
Clergerie

Primary colored sneakers came in rounded shapes with new articulated soles done in EVA rubber, while runner sandals had insoles made of memory foam. New takes on the Roel had it fashioned in supple vachetta leathers, Goodyear stitched onto a rubber sole. There’s always been a proportion of crossover in men’s and women’s, but this season, it stands at 100 percent.
John Lobb
Paula Gerbase’s quest for lightness continues. For spring, she’s redeveloped the Lopez loafer with a contrast white sole in EVA rubber. Sneakers come with leather welting and subtle brogueing, while more formal styles, like the William with its double monkstrap, appear traditional on the surface but are unlined and come with tensile soles. “So much of John Lobb is what you feel,” she observed, “rather than what you see from the outside.”
