MODA OPERANDI POPS UP IN BRAZIL: Luxury e-tailer Moda Operandi is headed to Brazil for its first brick-and-mortar pop-up store. Planned for the upscale Cidade Jardim mall in São Paulo during the month of March, the shop will focus on British designers, including Jonathan Saunders, Matthew Williamson, Charlotte Olympia, Nicholas Kirkwood and Ostwald Helgason.
“Brazil has emerged as a key market because of their strong demand for great international design. We are thrilled to be opening our first pop-up store that will further introduce Brazilians to the talented British designers that are having a true moment right now,” said Aslaug Magnúsdóttir, cofounder and chief executive officer of New York-based Moda Operandi. The site is partnering with Alice Ferraz, founder of the Brazilian blogging platform F*Hits, on the venture.
