French accessories label Moynat’s Mayfair boutique found itself the latest victim of thieves targeting London’s high-end stores early Sunday morning.
London’s Metropolitan Police said Monday that they were called to reports of a burglary at the store in Mount Street at 1.40 a.m. Sunday. According to witnesses, the suspects were three men on two mopeds, and no arrests following the incident have been made. A spokeswoman for Moynat confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing. The company didn’t disclose the value of the items stolen. The boutique, which opened on Mount Street in March, is now open following the incident.
The burglary follows a spate of similar thefts and robberies in London — in April, thieves stole around 26 bags from Chanel in London’s Brompton Cross, while in March an attempted armed robbery took place at Watches and Jewelry of Bond Street in Mayfair.
