MILAN – Mr Porter is expanding its offer.
The online shopping destination for men’s style announced the partnership with Swiss high-end watch brand Baume & Mercier — a unit of luxury group Compagnie Financière Richemont SA — on Friday. The web site will launch a selection of the label’s timepieces starting Tuesday.
“We always offer our customers a curated choice of fine watches,” said Mr Porter’s managing director Toby Bateman, adding that Baume & Mercier “truly complements our existing brands in what is one of Mr Porter’s fastest growing categories.”
Baume & Mercier’s chief executive officer Alain Zimmermann stressed the values shared by the luxury watchmaker and the e-commerce, as “proposing iconic design and contemporary aesthetic, never compromising on the highest quality.”
“We offer timepieces which will please all gentlemen, whether seeking a bold and sporty watch or an elegant yet athletic line,” added Zimmermann on the range available at the e-commerce.
In particular, Mr Porter will offer 11 timepieces from the brand’s Clifton Collection, including key models as the newly released Clifton Club styles, the Clifton GMT and the Clifton Club Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, produced only in 196 pieces. In addition, two timepieces of the Classima Collection – Classica Automatic and Quartz styles – will complete the selection.
Prices will range from $990 to $7,950.

Baume & Mercier is the latest watch label in Richemont’s portfolio joining Mr Porter, after IWC Schaffhausen, Montblanc, Piaget and Cartier.
Founded in 2011, Mr Porter is controlled by the Yoox Net-A-Porter Group, which has recently passed the billion euros mark in revenues, up 15.3 percent in the first half of 2017 compared to the same period last year.
