Black Friday shopping on Net-a-porter is set to be a little more do-goody. On Nov. 25, shoppers heading online looking for Black Friday deals will be able to support the White Ribbon Alliance at the same time, as the luxury online retailer is partnering with the charity for a one-day “donation day.”
Fifteen percent of sales from regularly priced items will be donated to the organization, which benefits maternal health before, during and after childbirth.
“We are [pleased] to partner with White Ribbon Alliance this holiday season,” said Alison Loehnis, president of Net-a-porter and Mr Porter. “The initiative further establishes Net-a-porter’s commitment to supporting and empowering women around the globe and we hugely value WRA’s dedication to ensuring women’s rights to safe and dignified maternity care. We are incredibly proud to support this worthy cause.”
The contribution is available to customers in the U.S. only.
