NEW DEAL: Zac Posen is branching out. The designer has inked a deal with Illesteva for the production of his first sunwear collection — also the first brand collaboration for the eyewear manufacturer. The limited edition launch will include two silhouettes — a “unique creation” of the cat-eye and an oval frame — that come in yellow, clear and tortoise, green, brown and a leopard print.
Beginning next month, the $300 frames will be available at Colette, Opening Ceremony and illesteva.com. “As we develop the Zac Posen brand, sunglasses allow me to maintain an aspect of flare and attitude for clothing that transitions into day,” Posen said, who added that working with a smaller company like Illesteva “allows me to have a focused collection in the first stage of the our eyewear development.”
