DG Expo’s New York Fabric Show is going west. The firm said it has moved its New York Fabric Show to Hudson Yards for its biannual event that will take place on July 22 to 23 at the Hudson Mercantile, a “raw” event venue within walking distance to the Jacob K. Javits Center.
The New York Fabric Show is a business-to-business trade show for designers, manufacturers, private-label retailers, event planners, retail fabric stores and fashion industry members seeking to source fabrics, trims and other resources at wholesale prices.
The firm was founded by Susan Power in 2012 in New York and is named for Power’s guide, the “Designer’s Guide.” Power has provided sourcing information to apparel and home furnishing industry professionals since 1998, the company said. And since she launched DP Expo, its fabric shows have expanded, and are now located countrywide in San Francisco, Miami, Dallas and Chicago, in addition to a location that is pending for this fall, according to the firm.
Exhibitors at the event are American and European wholesale suppliers, which include mills, converters, importers and distributors that provide low minimums and can provide in-stock fabric and trim, the firm said, as well as other resources such as “Made in the USA” production facilities.
