LINKING WITH LINGO: Noble People, the creative platform that promotes emerging talent, has teamed with the musician Ché Lingo on a collaborative campaign. Lingo, who’s known for hip-hop and alternative music, has been experimenting of late with Trap and futuristic sounds.
The platform’s in-house videography team created a music video for Lingo’s single titled “Better Versions,” while graphic designers constructed press materials and posters. The team has also focused on a conceptual event to showcase the collaboration on June 4 in Dalston, east London.
The Noble People x Ché Lingo collaboration will include a three-track release, music video, documentary, a bespoke jacket for Lingo, a limited-edition e-zine and other branded content.
Noble People team member and emerging designer Abbi Fletcher, is the younger sibling of men’s wear designer Daniel Fletcher. She produced a conceptual bomber jacket, with a parka-style back and hood, that was inspired by the musician.

The cotton-silk blend sateen jacket has gold embellishments and Fletcher incorporated the musican’s lyrics onto the fabric panels. A similar commissioned piece can be purchased on the Noble People website for 380 pounds, or $549.
“I sought to make a bespoke piece, detailed and tailored by the sound waves from his lead single, using the practice of Cymatics. From this, I crafted my own cymatic plate set with the soundscape, allowing different patterns to emerge due to the geometry of the plate and driving frequency. The outcome was a digitally embossed print on the neck piece and sleeve panels of the jacket,” Fletcher told WWD. “Music has always been something I have wanted to incorporate into my work. Having always been intrigued by how music is created, I think it’s fascinating how sound can be made visual.”
Launched in 2015, by creative directors Axel Lagerborg and Nnamdi Obiekwe, Noble People is a platform that supports emerging creative talent in various field including art, fashion and music.
The platform will be hosting a second installment of its Volume series on Sept. 8 at Ace Hotel in London, where it will showcase the works of various artists.
